The Province of North Holland is starting the recruitment of 10 trainees today. Applications are open until March 23.

Each recruitment round offers different vacancies Opens an external link for the traineeship in terms of role and content. As every year, there is room for trainees from every field. This year, the province specifically seeks trainees specializing in the fields of data Opens an external link, technology Opens an external link, financial/economic or legal. There is room for 10 trainees.

‘The traineeship is a great bridge from theory to work’

As a trainee, starting September 1, you follow a 2-year program in which you work on assignments in 3 different teams within the province. Every 8 months, you start in a new department and a new team. Trainees also receive training and intensive guidance. Trainees are young talents, not interns. You get responsibility and a salary. The traineeship is full of opportunities to discover yourself and your future. Or as Jori describes it: ‘The traineeship is a great bridge from theory to work’.

This year there is again an in-house day. This afternoon is led by trainees of the province. The goal is to give you an impression of the work you can do at the province and of the traineeship. This is done using cases. Use this day also to ask your questions. The in-house day takes place on Thursday, March 12 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the provincial office at Houtplein in Haarlem. If you want to know more but cannot attend on March 12, sign up for the online information hour. That is on Friday, March 20 between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM.
