Public transport in the Utrecht Binnen concession will be definitively operated by carrier Transdev from December 14, which together with Keolis (Utrecht Buiten concession) will operate under the joint name U-OV in recognizable yellow colors. The Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (CBb) has rejected the appeal of Qbuzz, the current concession holder, and states that the concession procedure and award to Transdev were conducted correctly.

Also important for all people within our organization and the involved carriers who have been working very hard for months to ensure that from December 14 the traveler is served with reliable, comfortable, sustainable and accessible public transport in our province.”
On December 14, not only the new concession but also the new timetable of U-OV for bus and tram will start. This will provide travelers with more public transport than the current timetable. After that period, Transdev expects to further expand the timetable, including higher frequency on heavily used bus lines. A major step is also being taken towards zero-emission bus transport, making the residential environment around bus routes cleaner and more pleasant.
