The province of Utrecht is organizing the free training Politically Active once again this fall. Recently, some spots have opened up in this popular course. Former participants who are now State members encourage future students to sign up quickly as spots fill up fast!
Experiences
Thanks to the Politically Active course, the threshold to run for office was no longer so high, says State member Marianne de Widt, who participated in the training in 2018. She is now the faction leader of D66. I could ask questions to State members about their successes, but also about their mistakes. I also learned the basics of where I can have influence as a State member and how I can best achieve my goals.”
Anneloes Blekxtoon also participated in the training in 2022 and is now a State member for Volt. You get a clear picture of how you can fulfill a political role. For me, it is a recommendation for everyone who wants to commit to our democracy!
Information about registration
The training takes place on Tuesday evenings in October and November. It is important that you are present at all course evenings. Recently, some last spots have opened up, so dont wait too long to register. We do not maintain a waiting list.
