In the night from Saturday, September 20, 8:00 PM to Sunday, September 21, 6:00 AM, the Provincial Road (N201) in Vreeland will be partially closed. The Singel in Vreeland will be completely closed. The closure is necessary because the previously planned works could not be completed due to bad weather conditions.

The work is being carried out by Dura Vermeer on behalf of the province of Utrecht. During the works, a new layer of asphalt will be applied and road markings will be renewed. The Singel is closed for traffic to and from Vreeland. Through traffic between Vinkeveen and Hilversum can continue to use the N201.

Traffic Disruption and Detour

Traffic to and from Vreeland-West will be diverted via the N402, Slootdijk, Oostkanaaldijk, and Spoorlaan. Due to limited space on Spoorlaan, a staggered arrangement will apply. Traffic controllers will be present to guide traffic smoothly.

Cyclists and pedestrians heading to Vreeland will be diverted via Spoorlaan, Breedstraat, Lindengracht, and Boslaan. Emergency and rescue services will follow the same detour as vehicle traffic.

Future N201

The N201 is an important connection between Schiphol and the Gooi and Vecht region and has long been a major bottleneck in the province of Utrecht. With the project Future N201 the province is gradually working towards better traffic flow, traffic safety, and livability in the region.
