Due to a technical failure, the province of Utrecht is carrying out extra work on the N419 in Harmelen. As a result, the road will be closed from Saturday, June 28, 6:00 AM to Monday, June 30, 5:00 AM. This concerns the section between the viaduct over the A12 and the intersection with the Adriaan van Beusechemweg.
The work is being carried out by the Versluys Group on behalf of the province of Utrecht. The additional closure is necessary because there was a technical failure during the asphalt production, requiring the work to be redone.
Detour
Through traffic will be diverted via the A12 and the N198. Local detour routes will be indicated with yellow signs along the road. Emergency and rescue services will use the Rijksstraatweg in case of emergency. In addition to the N419, the exit and entrance ramps 14A (Harmelen) of the A12 will also be closed during this period. Traffic will be diverted via exit 15 (De Meern). The carpool lot is not accessible.
Unexpected Circumstances
In all road works, unforeseen circumstances may occur that could delay the work to a later time. For example, if it rains heavily for a long time. If the schedule unexpectedly changes, we will announce this via the province of Utrechts website and the BouwApp. In the BouwApp, you can find more information and updates about the work under Major Maintenance N419 – Harmelen external link for more information and updates on the work.
