On Monday, August 25, the province of Utrecht will carry out work on the Eembrug in Eembrugge. The work is necessary to connect the bridge to the new control center that will be put into use next year.
The work will be carried out by SPIE on behalf of the province of Utrecht. The work will start at 03:00. First, the final conversion work on the bridge will be carried out, after which new software will be installed. Subsequently, the bridge will be tested, both at night and during the day. During these tests, the bridge will be operated several times and may be open more often than usual.
Traffic consequences
Due to the tests, there may be disruption for road and water traffic on August 25. Road users may have to wait longer at the bridge on Bisschopsweg (N414). During the work, traffic controllers will be present to ensure the safe flow of traffic. There are no consequences for shipping.
