From Thursday, September 18 at 8:00 PM to Monday, September 22 at 6:00 AM, work will be done on the Provincial Road (N201) between Mijdrecht and Vinkeveen. The road will be closed at the intersection with the Hoofdweg and the Ingenieur Enschedeweg (N212).

The work is being carried out by Dura Vermeer on behalf of the province of Utrecht. The intersection will be equipped with a plateau threshold (elevation) and the maximum speed in the area will be reduced to 60 kilometers per hour. The bicycle crossing will also be widened. This is to improve traffic safety and flow.

Accessibility and Detour

During the work, the intersection will be closed to motor traffic. Destination traffic between the Veenweg in Mijdrecht and the Herenweg in Vinkeveen (such as residents of Waverveen) can use the parallel roads. Traffic controllers will be present to manage this properly.

Other traffic from Vinkeveen and Mijdrecht will be diverted via the Veenweg, Mijdrechtse Dwarsweg, Waverbancken, Plevierenlaan, Roerdompstraat, Kerklaan, and Herenweg. For through traffic between Uithoorn and Vinkeveen, a detour via the A9 and A2 applies.

Accessibility for Cyclists

Bicycle traffic parallel to the N201 can pass the work via the bike path/parallel road. The connection of the Hoofdweg on the north side towards Waverveen remains available for cyclists. The bike connection from Waverveen to Wilnis is closed.

Cyclists will be diverted via the Mijdrechtse Dwarsweg, the Veenweg, the Waverse Zijweg, and will continue their route via the Poeldijk and Cliffordweg to the Hoofdweg. This detour route applies in both directions and is indicated with yellow signs along the road.

Height Restriction for Freight Traffic

The detour route for local traffic has a height restriction of 3.5 meters at the N201/Herenweg viaduct. Freight traffic taller than 3.5 meters will be monitored by traffic controllers at the off- and on-ramps of the A2 at Vinkeveen and, if necessary, redirected to the large detour via the A2 and A9.

Margin for Error

In bad weather, such as prolonged rain, the work may be postponed. Asphalt cannot be laid then. Changes in the schedule will be announced via the province of Utrechts website and in the BouwApp external link. In the BouwApp you will also find more information and updates about the work.
