On Sunday, August 31, the Zuilense Ring (N230) will be closed in both directions from 6:00 AM to midnight between the A2 and Gandhiplein in Utrecht. The province of Utrecht will be working on the completion of the works.
The work is being carried out by the Versluys Group on behalf of the province of Utrecht. The separation between the lanes will be removed and the road will be prepared so that the N230 can be fully reopened on Monday, September 1 at 6:00 AM.
Detour August 31
Through traffic between the A2 and Gandhiplein will be diverted via the A2, A12, and A27. Traffic to and from Maarssen will be diverted via the Leidsche Rijn exit (A2), Plutoniumweg, and Atoomweg. Maarssen-Dorp is accessible via Burgemeester Norbruislaan (N404) and Franciscusdreef. Emergency services will have access to the work area in case of emergencies.
Works
During the works, the asphalt on the road will be renewed and work will be done on the lighting, bridges, viaducts, guardrails, drainage, and verges. After completion on September 1, a new maximum speed of 80 km/h will apply to this part of the N230.
Safety Margin
In all road works, unforeseen circumstances may occur that may cause the work to be postponed to a later date. For example, if it rains heavily for an extended period. If the schedule unexpectedly changes, we will report this via the website of the province of Utrecht and the BouwApp under N230 from 100 to 80 external link. In the BouwApp you will also find more information and updates about the work.
