On Thursday, October 23, 2025, Deputy Jo-Annes de Bat symbolically handed over an amount of 50,000 euros to the project ‘Formal → Informal’ by De Zorgbalie.nl Zeeuws-Vlaanderen B.V. The subsidy comes from the Zeeland in Acceleration scheme: Human Capital Agenda. Organizations can apply for subsidies under this scheme for smart ideas to tackle labor market shortages.
About the project
This project helps elderly people living at home. Household helpers learn to recognize problems with these people earlier. This way, they can receive timely help. Cooperation also takes place with neighborhood initiatives, community centers, and an online platform. The goal is better care and reducing pressure on general practitioners and home care. For the next step in this project, subsidies are also being applied for under another scheme.
New subsidy round
From October 24, 2025, to March 20, 2026, subsidies can again be applied for projects that contribute to reducing labor shortages in the Zeeland labor market.
