On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the first ten hosts of the Veerse Meer successfully completed their hospitality course.
The 10 participants can now call themselves hosts because they have successfully completed a course with intensive collaborative assignments.
Recreational entrepreneurs and associations recognized as ‘Host in the Veerse Meer Landscape’ highly value the hospitality of the Veerse Meer. They know the surroundings, history, special places, and stories of the area. The hosts work together to make the experience for their guests as authentic as possible.
The following organizations are hosts of the Veerse Meer:
- Farm Camping Oranjepolder in Arnemuiden
- Camping ’t Veerse Meer in Wolphaartsdijk
- Catharina Maria Hof in Kamperland
- Landscape Camping De Heerlijkheid in Wolphaartsdijk
- The Donkey House in Kamperland
- Mini Camping Zeelucht in Wissenkerke
- Foundation Scout Center Zeeland in Veere
- Villa Park De Paardekreek in Kortgene
- Zwemer Watersport Zeeland VOF in Kamperland
They can be recognized by the sign ‘Hospitable in the Veerse Meer landscape’. The course was made possible by the Veerse Meer area cooperation, under the direction of the Province of Zeeland, and guided by IVN Zeeland.
Hospitable in the Veerse Meer Landscape contributes to the visibility and experience of the Veerse Meer area. The hosts can better inform their guests about the possibilities to explore and experience the Veerse Meer area in all its diversity. A network of cooperating hosts who promote the area has thus been formed.
Around the Veerse Meer, governments, entrepreneurs, residents, and users work together within the Veerse Meer area cooperation on a vital area where nature, water, agriculture, and recreation reinforce each other.
