The preparations for the establishment of the Brand Organization Zeeland are in full swing. This new network organization aims to strengthen and promote the Zeeland brand in collaboration with Zeeland stakeholders. The organization builds on the Course Document Brand Organization Zeeland and the brand strategy developed with Zeeland organizations ‘Building the Delta of the Future’.

The activities of the current Team Zeeland Marketing within the Province of Zeeland will transition to the Brand Organization Zeeland on September 1. This starts from the Province of Zeeland but operates with its own identity and intends to become independent in the long term. In anticipation of this, an Advisory Board has been engaged that is already actively involved in shaping the organization.

Experienced Marketing Manager

On October 1, the manager and intended director of the independent entity, Emiel Kuijpers, will start. Emiel was previously a brand builder at Brainport Eindhoven and is a co-founder of the City Marketing Collective. Additionally, there will be brand managers who will manage the brand activities in practice. Recruitment will start after the summer. Together with the already employed digital marketing specialists, the organization will have a size of approximately 10 FTE.

Strong Brand Zeeland

The start of the organization comes at a good time as the image of Zeeland is on the rise and the direction in which Zeeland is moving becomes clear.

“The establishment of the Brand Organization Zeeland marks an important step in strengthening the shared story of Zeeland and the profiling of the region, both within and outside the provincial borders. This is necessary for Zeeland in 2050 and beyond, as we need more Zeeuwen,” says Jo-Annes de Bat, deputy of the Province of Zeeland.

Network Organization

Many Zeeland partners are already involved in the Zeeland brand strategy, and the brand organization will work to further strengthen and utilize the network of partners. Once there is sufficient financial coverage, including more contributions from network partners (governments, businesses, and education), the Brand Organization will become independent. Although no concrete deadline has been set for this, it will be evaluated in 2027 .
