On Thursday, November 13, the Touristic Meeting Day 2025 took place in Vlissingen. The theme of the day was: What does the entrepreneur of the future look like? During the Touristic Meeting Day 2025, entrepreneurs, knowledge partners, and policymakers came together to discuss the sectors future resilience.
Ageeth van Maldegem, professor of New Business Models at HZ University of Applied Sciences, outlined why future resilience is urgent and how innovation , collaboration, and entrepreneurship are crucial. The HZ Coastal Tourism Knowledge Center shared insights from their research on sustainable business models. Camping Zeeburg Amsterdam explained how they discovered the possibilities of steward ownership. Impuls Zeeland discussed how they strengthen collaboration in the sector through the 3ST project in pilots around water, energy, and waste. And Merlijn Pietersma stimulated with five entrepreneurial dilemmas and three choices for direction and guidance.
Finally, entrepreneurs Marieke Braber-Schot, Co Schot, Ab Pouwer, Jerry J. Troy, and Kees Mesu received a token of appreciation from Deputy Dick Van Der Velde for their many years of commitment to a strong leisure sector in Zeeland. Arjen Brinkman also received the token of appreciation but could not attend.
