The Coosaard viaduct near s-Heer Arendskerke (N664) is due for maintenance. This is the viaduct over the Vlissingen-Roosendaal railway. Inspection has shown that the expansion joints of the viaduct are in poor condition and need to be replaced. There is leakage. For road users, this leakage poses no danger. The leakage must be resolved to extend the lifespan of the viaduct.
Work
The work will be carried out by Brabotech BV. In addition to repairing the leakage, the asphalt will also be replaced at the same time. We will also repair the foundation of the road on the north side. Cracks have been discovered in the asphalt and the foundation.
Planning
The work will take place during the autumn holiday. The work will begin on Monday, October 13, and will last until at least Friday, October 17, 2025. The contractor is expected to need 3 days to complete the work.
Detour Routes
For road traffic, a detour route will be set up via the A58. Slow traffic will be locally diverted via Wissekerkseweg.
