The Province of Zeeland has € 500,000 available per year for social projects that contribute to a livable, healthy and connected Zeeland. With this subsidy scheme, the Province supports initiatives from organizations and institutions committed to residents at village or core level. The subsidy originates from the Livability Agenda 2024–2027.
With the scheme, the Province aims to stimulate a livable and active society. At the same time, it is important that the level of facilities in small cores remains adequate. Both new and existing initiatives can submit a request , as long as the ideas contribute to one of the two focus themes: Participate in Zeeland and Health in Zeeland.
Deputy Harry van der Maas: “Throughout Zeeland, residents, volunteers and organizations are committed daily to their environment. With this subsidy scheme, we want to give them the space to really implement good ideas. Whether it concerns meeting in a village or supporting informal caregivers: it is precisely these initiatives that make Zeeland stronger and future-proof .”
Two focus themes
Within the theme Participate in Zeeland, projects aim to stimulate meetings, counter loneliness, support volunteers and informal caregivers, and contribute to a society in which everyone can participate. For these initiatives, a maximum of € 50,000 per project is available. Applications can be made from € 2,500 per project.
The theme Healthy in Zeeland focuses on promoting healthy living in Zeeland and health perception, improving access to care, and strengthening cooperation between care parties and government. For these initiatives, a maximum of € 100,000 per project is available. Applications can be made from € 2,500 per project.
For whom?
The scheme is intended for social organizations or initiatives. Projects must take place in Zeeland, be publicly accessible, and have a sustainable and future-oriented character. Activities with a commercial, political or religious purpose, as well as neighborhood and street parties, are not eligible.
