Compliments
At the time the building was evacuated, there were hundreds of people inside. They all left the building calmly but quickly under the guidance of the provinces emergency responders. I am extremely proud of our emergency responders, said provincial secretary Marcel van Bijnen. Fortunately, they dont have to spring into action very often, but today they proved their added value immensely. The commissioner of the King, Wouter Kolff, is also pleased that the fire was quickly brought under control and thanks the emergency services on X: Many thanks to the emergency services who acted appropriately and prevented worse outcomes.
In the coming time, an investigation will be conducted to determine the extent of the damage to the provincial house and what consequences the fire and the restoration work will have.
