Background
Robbert-Jan van Duijn began his political-administrative career in 2010 when he became a municipal councilor in Aalsmeer, a position he held until 2016. Between 2016 and 2020, he was also alderman and first deputy mayor in Aalsmeer. Van Duijn studied theology at the Free University of Amsterdam, then completed a masters degree to become a municipal pastor at the Protestant Theological University in Utrecht.
