The Food Families South Holland, with support from the province, will start a development program in 2026 for leaders of local food networks. New and existing leaders are invited to participate!

Local Food Networks

Local food networks are networks in a city or region that connect professionals and residents in various ways around the theme of healthy, sustainable, local, and fair food. Networks such as Ons Eten Den Haag (opens in new window) and Voedselfamilie Krimpenerwaard (opens in new window) connect farmers, chefs, leaders of food connection places, retailers, healthcare professionals, and like-minded others for greater healthy impact. Within the development program, participants learn from experienced leaders, make plans to start their own network, and take the first steps in their area to launch the network.

You can register via Voedselfamilies (opens in new window).

Provincial Food Vision

Food connects us all. It affects our health, our landscape, our economy, and our daily lives. As a province, we have the ambition to build a sustainable and future-proof food system; fair for farmers, healthy for residents, and restorative for nature. The province therefore wants to connect initiatives that build a more local, healthier, and more sustainable food system.
