Han Weber will remain mayor of Zuidplas for the coming years. On Monday, September 29, 2025, he was officially sworn in for a second term by the Kings Commissioner in South Holland, Wouter Kolff.
Starting September 30, his new six-year term begins.
Han Weber, who has been mayor of Zuidplas since September 2019, has worked with great energy for the rapidly growing municipality in recent years. He has been actively involved in areas such as public order and safety and the development of the new housing project “Cortelande” (the Fifth Village). Han Weber is known as an accessible and involved leader, with an eye for the human scale.
Background of Han Weber
Han Webers political career began in 1994 when he became a member of the Provincial States of South Holland, a position he held until 2007. From 2011 to 2019, he was part of the Executive Council of South Holland. Previously, he worked among others at ProRail and the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG).
