The VVD parliamentary group in South Holland nominates Jeroen van Dijken as the new deputy. Van Dijken will succeed Frederik Zevenbergen in the Provincial Executive and will take on the portfolios of Traffic, Transport and Public Transport, Governance and Society, and Permitting.
Van Dijken has been a member of the Provincial Council since 2021 and VVD faction leader since 2024. The appointment of Van Dijken as deputy will be finalized if the Provincial Council agrees to the nomination on January 28 (opens in a new window).
Van Dijken succeeds Zevenbergen, who has been appointed as mayor of Vlaardingen.
