The new transport plan for the Hoeksche Waard and Goeree-Overflakkee (HWGO) region, detailing how bus services in the area will operate, is finalized. Smaller villages will become more accessible and buses on main routes will run more frequently.

Starting from the launch of the new operator Transdev on December 14, 2025, buses between Heinenoord bus station and Goudswaard, ’s-Gravendeel, Strijen, and Numansdorp will run every 15 minutes during peak hours. From Oud-Beijerland, up to 16 buses per hour will run to Rotterdam Zuidplein during peak times, and on Goeree-Overflakkee, buses will run every 7½ minutes during peak hours instead of every 10 minutes. The fixed bus service on Goeree-Overflakkee will return, allowing villages like Stad aan ’t Haringvliet and Herkingen to have at least one bus per hour at all times of the week without needing to reserve. Convenient and guaranteed transfers between lines, including at Heinenoord bus station, Stellendam, and Numansdorp A29, will be expanded. Additionally, more villages will be accessible by fixed (large) buses. All stops in the region will remain in place.

The Provincial Executive of South Holland approved the transport plan last week. In this plan, Transdev further developed the proposals it made during the public transport tender. Transdev coordinated intensively with involved municipalities and community bus associations. The timetable will be announced soon.
