South Holland has over 600 business parks – together accounting for nearly a third of all employment in our province. These parks form the backbone of the South Holland economy. Therefore, the province supports entrepreneurs, municipalities, campus organizations, and other partners with subsidies for sustainability and future-proof design.
From energy to circular: subsidies for sustainable measures
With the Future-Proof Business Parks subsidy scheme, applicants can invest in concrete sustainability measures. Think of:
- energy savings,
- sustainable energy generation or storage,
- better insulation,
- or connection to a local heat network.
But initiatives in the field of climate adaptation, biodiversity, and circular economy are also eligible. Examples include:
- construction of water retention areas,
- greening of verges with flowering plants,
- or joint reuse of waste streams and raw materials.
For each project, a subsidy of up to €285,000 is available, depending on the type of initiative. A total of €2 million is available in 2025. Applications can be made throughout the year.

Good plans start with a strong foundation
Support is also possible for the preparation of sustainable developments. Through the Business Parks Planning subsidy scheme, parties can apply for subsidies to set up collaborations and develop an integrated area vision or plan. Think of plans for restructuring, spatial optimization, or joint sustainability.
This way, we lay the foundation for strong and future-proof business parks in South Holland together.
