For this first opening in 2026, the budget is divided over five regions in Fryslân: the Wadden Islands, Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Southeast Fryslân. The opening has two parts. Subsidies are possible for small projects up to a maximum of €10,000 and for large projects up to a maximum of €50,000.
More budget available
During the treatment of the 2026 Budget, the budget for 2026 and 2027 was increased by €1,500,000. This means that a total of €13,500,000 is available for the Open Mienskips Fund during this administrative period.

Applications for IMF are possible from Monday, March 16, 2026, 9:00 AM until Thursday, April 9, 2026, 5:00 PM. The second opening of this year is from September 14 to October 8, 2026.
