According to the first calculation by CBS, based on currently available data, the gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.4 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the third quarter of 2024. In the third quarter, the growth was 0.8 percent. The increase in GDP in the fourth quarter is mainly attributed to the trade balance and investments. Consumption also contributed positively.

With the release of the fourth quarter, the first provisional growth figure for the economy in 2024 is also known. The GDP grew by 0.9 percent last year. Government and household consumption made the largest contribution to this.
