Each month, CBS also publishes information on several conditions for export in the Export Conditions visualization. The conditions are largely determined by developments in the main markets for Dutch exports and by the development of the Dutch competitive position. The indicators in the visualization correlate well with exports, but an improvement in conditions does not necessarily mean higher export growth.
In February, conditions for export were less unfavorable than in December. This is mainly because the judgment of Dutch and European entrepreneurs about foreign orders was less negative. Producer confidence in the eurozone and Germany was also less negative.
