House Prices Higher in All Municipalities
This article discusses the rising house prices in the Netherlands.
The prices of existing owner-occupied homes have risen in all municipalities compared to last year. The prices rose the most in Albrandswaard and Borger-Odoorn by 21.9 and 20.2 percent respectively, followed by Winterswijk with 18.8 percent and Waddinxveen with 18.6 percent. Hattem, Reusel-de Mierden, and Oudewater had the smallest price increase compared to last year.
The prices of existing owner-occupied homes peaked in mid-2022. After that, house prices fell until mid-2023 when they rose again. This was the case in most larger municipalities. However, in many smaller municipalities, there was only a flattening of price increases. Due to the upward trend of recent quarters, prices in most municipalities have risen to new records.
