In Sint Eustatius, consumer prices rose by 1.0 percent in the third quarter compared to the second quarter of 2025. Clothing and footwear became 3.4 percent more expensive. As in Saba, womens and childrens clothing, mens trousers, and mens shoes increased the most in price. Food and non-alcoholic beverages became 1.2 percent more expensive. This is largely due to fresh fruit and fresh vegetables becoming more expensive.
Water and electricity became cheaper compared to the previous quarter. As in Bonaire, this is caused by the reintroduction of drinking water and energy subsidies that were stopped earlier this year.
The figures for the third quarter of 2025 are preliminary and will be finalized with the publication about the fourth quarter of 2025.
