The Land Registry announced that in December it registered 27,154 housing transactions. That is 14 percent more than a year earlier. In 2025, 238,695 homes were sold, almost 16 percent more than a year earlier.
In December, the average transaction price for an existing owner-occupied home was 480,051 euros. The price index calculation takes quality differences between homes into account. The average transaction price does not include quality correction.
Today, CBS also publishes price information by region and house type.
The NVM also published about the housing market a week ago. The figures from NVM and CBS/Kadaster may differ. This is because the NVM figures are based on purchase agreements of homes sold by NVM real estate agents, while CBS and Kadaster measure price developments of all existing owner-occupied homes in the Netherlands using purchase deeds registered at the Land Registry.
