The legal services sector recorded the largest revenue increase within business services in the third quarter: 8.9 percent. Engineering firms also saw revenue higher than a year earlier: 8.6 percent.
IT service providers revenue was 5.9 percent higher than a year earlier. In the previous quarter, this was 4.4 percent.
In the advertising sector, revenue was 2.0 percent lower. In the first quarter, revenue here was 2.6 percent lower, but rebounded in the second quarter with 1.4 percent more revenue. In the market and opinion research sector, revenue remained unchanged in the third quarter, while it was 6.1 percent higher last quarter. For the entire year 2024, growth was over 11 percent.
Within business services, service prices were higher in almost all sectors than a year earlier. Prices for IT services were 2.0 percent higher than a year earlier. Cleaning companies prices rose the most, by 7.3 percent, due to a collective labor agreement wage increase in the cleaning sector as of July 1, 2025. Prices for legal services, such as attorney and notary services, were 4.4 percent higher than a year earlier.
Prices for notary services, part of legal services, were 6.6 percent higher in the third quarter of 2025 than a year earlier. Services related to family practice (e.g., drafting cohabitation agreements or wills) were 7.4 percent more expensive. This is the largest increase since the measurement began.
Prices for translators were 2.3 percent lower. This is the largest decrease since the measurement began. Prices for interpreters were 3.2 percent higher.
The entrepreneur confidence of business service providers was -1.4 at the start of the fourth quarter. At the start of the third quarter, it was still 0.6. Except for January and July, entrepreneur confidence was negative throughout 2025.
