Profit of Non-Financial Companies Higher in Third Quarter 2025
The gross profit before tax of non-financial companies increased by 3.3 billion euros in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the previous year.
The gross profit before tax of non-financial companies amounted to 100.1 billion euros in the third quarter of 2025. This is 3.3 billion euros more than in the third quarter of 2024. The increase is mainly due to the operational profit being higher than a year earlier. This was reported by Statistics Netherlands (CBS) based on new, preliminary figures. The consolidated gross profit before tax can be divided into operational profit, profits of foreign subsidiaries, and other profit.
The operational profit (including non-product-related subsidies) amounted to 80.1 billion euros in the third quarter of 2025. This is 4.8 billion euros more than in the third quarter of 2024. However, the profit of foreign subsidiaries was 1.2 billion euros lower than a year earlier. Other profit was also more negative than a year earlier.
