From January 1, 2026, Syrians will be eligible for return support according to the regular amounts. This marks the end of the temporarily increased support that applied from November 17 through December 31, 2025.
For applications received from January 1, 2026, the return support amounts will be the same as those for other countries of origin. This means that Syrians with a residence permit or an ongoing procedure will receive €2,800 per adult and €1,650 per minor in cash. Syrians with a return decision will generally receive support partly in kind via the EURP program. They will receive €200 at Schiphol as basic departure support and €615 in Syria for post-arrival assistance, as well as reintegration support worth €2,000. For minors with a return decision, the amounts are €40 for basic departure support, €615 for post-arrival assistance, and €1,000 for reintegration support.
