The work concerning the certification of pilots, air traffic service providers, and maintenance technicians carried out by Kiwa on behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW) has been transferred to the aviation authority of the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT Aviation Authority). From today, these licenses and authorizations can be applied for at the ILT Aviation Authority.
Information about applying for licenses and authorizations for pilots, air traffic service providers, and maintenance technicians was published on May 28, 2025:
- Flight Crew License (FCL)
- Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO)
- Flight Information Service Officer (FISO)
- Aeronautical Station Operator (ASO)
- Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML)
Online application forms
The new online application forms can also be found on the aforementioned pages. In these application forms, the necessary attachments can be uploaded. The old Kiwa forms are no longer usable.
Transition period
The ILT Aviation Authority will start processing applications from June 10, 2025. The interim period is necessary to realize the actual transition. During the transition, unforeseen situations may arise that affect the processing time. Therefore, applicants should expect a longer processing time than they may be used to during the first period after the transition.
