The weather changes quickly during autumn. At the start, the weather is relatively warm and dry and can still feel summery, but during October temperatures drop rapidly, days become shorter, and it generally rains more. Climate change increases this contrast in precipitation between the beginning and end of autumn: it becomes drier at the start and wetter at the end. The total amount of rainfall in autumn changes little.
