Today the online Annual Review Royal House 2025 was published.
The online annual review contains an overview of more than 300 public activities, official visits at home and abroad, and other duties of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, Her Majesty Queen Máxima, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands, Her Royal Highness the Princess of Orange, and other members of the Royal House. ‘2025 at a glance’ provides a summary of the past year in words and images.
In 2025, the Royal House paid much attention to the theme of security and defense cooperation, such as during the NATO summit and the celebration and commemoration of eighty years of freedom. There were four outgoing state visits – to Cyprus, Kenya, the Czech Republic, and Suriname – and incoming state visits from Oman and Finland. With visits to neighborhoods, districts, villages, and cities throughout the country, the King and Queen Máxima focused on opportunities and initiatives to enhance livability and connection. Queen Máxima was active worldwide and in the Netherlands promoting financial health and, as honorary chair of MIND Us, advocated for the mental health of young people. The Princess of Orange was received in the capital on the occasion of her 21st birthday, where she later also attended the closing celebration of 750 years of Amsterdam together with the Royal Couple. Activities of the Royal Collections in 2025 focused on the 200th anniversary of the archives and collections, including a major exhibition about sculptor Artus Quellinus in the Royal Palace Amsterdam in collaboration with the Rijksmuseum. The annual review also provides information about the Kings regular duties as head of state, such as receptions of ambassadors for the presentation of their credentials and oath ceremonies.
This is the sixteenth edition of the Annual Review Royal House and the third time it appears exclusively online. The annual review is published on www.koninklijkhuis.nl.
