His Majesty the King will receive the participants of the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO) on Monday, September 29, at Palace Noordeinde. The King will engage in discussions with the delegations from the parliaments of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and the States General on topics that affect the countries of the Kingdom collectively.
The Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO) is a biennial meeting between representatives from the four parliaments of the Kingdom and lasts several days. The meeting is alternately organized in one of the Caribbean countries of the Kingdom and in The Hague. During the IPKO, delegations exchange information and viewpoints, and there is room for personal discussions on various topics affecting the countries.
This year, the IPKO will take place from Friday, September 26, to Monday, September 29, 2025, in The Hague. The IPKO will be opened on the morning of Friday, September 26, in the plenary hall of the Senate. Delegation members will also visit The Hague University for a briefing on the course on Kingdom Affairs and a discussion with Caribbean students. On Saturday, September 27, the discussions will continue with talks on geopolitical developments and vocational education. The Council of State will explain the advice on 70 years of the Statute. The former chairman of the State Commissions on demographic developments (2050) will inform the delegations about aging and its social consequences. The IPKO will conclude on Monday, September 29, with the signing of the list of agreements.
