The King received Commissioner Klijnsma from the province of Drenthe, Commissioner Kolff from the province of South Holland, and Commissioner De Jonge from the province of Zeeland. The King regularly engages in discussions with the Commissioners of the King about current themes at the provincial level. This time, the discussion focused on social resilience.

The Commissioners of the King are representatives of the government responsible for the leadership of the provinces and are appointed by the King for a term of six years. They supervise the policy process of their province and maintain close contact with municipalities, institutions, and organizations. They also play a role in the (re)appointment process of mayors.
