Her Majesty Queen Máxima will attend the presentation of the PUM Impact Awards on Wednesday afternoon, December 10, in The Hague. PUM was founded by the employers organization VNO-NCW and sends experienced Dutch professionals to support small and medium-sized enterprises in developing countries and emerging markets with voluntary advice.
The PUM Impact Awards are presented annually to entrepreneurs and organizations that achieve sustainable growth and contribute to inclusive economic development thanks to this support. The goal is to grow businesses in a way that creates employment, promotes sustainability, and strengthens the resilience of communities.
During the plenary program, the significance of the Impact Award is explained, and six award-winning projects present their success stories. They demonstrate how this direct knowledge transfer between Dutch professionals and local entrepreneurs leads to innovative and measurable impact. After the presentations, Queen Máxima speaks with the award winners about their experiences, innovations, and the social impact of their projects.
