Her Majesty Queen Máxima will pay a working visit on the morning of Thursday, January 15, 2026, to Stichting Jarige Job in Rotterdam.

In the Netherlands, there are children who cannot celebrate their birthday because there is no money at home. Stichting Jarige Job helps the parents of these children by providing a birthday box with everything needed for a real birthday, at home and at school. The box contains gifts, streamers, and treats, among other things. Last year, more than 176,000 children were able to celebrate their birthday with the help of Stichting Jarige Job. The birthday boxes are distributed throughout the Netherlands, largely with the help of organizations such as the Food Bank, or delivered directly to the parents homes so they can give their child a festive birthday. After 15 years, Stichting Jarige Job reaches an important milestone: it has distributed one million birthday boxes, celebrating as many birthdays. This moment is marked by packing the millionth birthday box.

During the visit, Queen Máxima will speak with representatives of Stichting Jarige Job and various cooperation and social partners, reflecting on the development of the foundation and the joint efforts to enable children from families with limited financial means to celebrate a birthday. Afterwards, she will visit the packing warehouse, where she will work together with volunteers to pack the millionth birthday box.
