His Majesty the King and Her Majesty Queen Máxima will hold the traditional New Years reception for Dutch guests on Monday, January 12, and on Tuesday, January 13, for foreign diplomats and representatives of international organizations based in the Netherlands. The receptions will take place at the Royal Palace Amsterdam.
Their Royal Highnesses Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands and Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and Prof. Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven will be present at the reception for Dutch guests.
At the New Years reception on Monday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima will welcome several hundred guests from politics and public administration and from various sectors of Dutch society. Additionally, this year theme guests from the fields of art and culture in both the city and the region have been invited. The following day, the Royal Couple will receive members of the diplomatic corps and international organizations.
