Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands will be present on Saturday afternoon, October 4, at the grounds of Palace Soestdijk for the sixth edition of The Orange Path of the Princess Beatrix Muscle Fund.
The Orange Path is a walk to and from Palace Soestdijk to raise awareness for the fight against muscle diseases. Participants can get sponsored to raise as much money as possible for scientific research into muscle diseases.
Princess Beatrix will speak with people with a muscle disease, with celebrating organizers of the annual collection, and with other stakeholders of the Muscle Fund. The Princess will also be present at the finish of The Orange Path and will meet participants who have walked. All participants receive an orange heart before the finish, on which they write the name of the person for whom they completed The Orange Path. Princess Beatrix will receive an explanation about the orange hearts that will be placed on the terrace of the Palace.
Princess Beatrix has been the patroness of the fund named after her since 1957.
