Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands reads on the morning of October 1 during Childrens Book Week at the recycling and reintegration company Foenix in Apeldoorn.

The Princess reads to children from group three of primary school De Zonnewende from A Dog with Fun Ears, written by Lauren Child. The book fits the theme of Childrens Book Week Adventure Awaits! and comes from the childrens book section of the thrift store. During Childrens Book Week, children can exchange a book from home with a book from the thrift store. Foenix aims to encourage the reuse of books among young and old.

Foenix consists of three thrift stores and a circular craft center. Here, new items are made from old materials. The organization is committed to a circular and inclusive society, providing space for many participation projects and collaborating with educational institutions and work-learn companies.

Childrens Book Week 2025 takes place from October 1 to October 12.
