Her Royal Highness the Princess of Orange will be received by the municipal government of Amsterdam at the invitation of Mayor Femke Halsema on Wednesday, September 10.

The Princess of Orange will be welcomed by the mayor at the official residence and will then discuss developments in the city with the board of mayor and aldermen.

During a lunch, she will speak with various Amsterdammers who play an important role in or for the city. This way, the Princess will get to know the capital and its inhabitants better. Discussion partners include representatives from business, the cultural and social sector, and sports organizations.

City poet Ellen Deckwitz will conclude the visit with a poem about Amsterdam.

King Willem-Alexander was also received by the capital when he was 21 years old as Prince of Orange, at that time at the invitation of Mayor Ed van Thijn.
