The examining magistrate of the court in Northern Netherlands has today decided that a 35-year-old woman from Kollum will remain in pre-trial detention for fourteen more days. She is suspected of murder or manslaughter of an 8-year-old girl. The girl was found in the suspects home.
The woman was arrested in that home on January 3, 2026. The examining magistrate sees sufficient grounds to keep the suspect detained longer. The investigation is still ongoing.
