During a customs inspection on Wednesday, July 9, 108 kilos of cocaine were discovered at a fruit company in Breda. The cocaine, hidden among a shipment of bananas, originated from Ecuador and was destined for further transport to Spain.
The narcotics were concealed in wooden blocks inside the pallets, beneath the boxes of fruit. It ultimately turned out that all pallets contained cylindrical packages of cocaine.
The Customs and police worked well together on-site to secure and clean up the drugs.
