Activists who were arrested yesterday during prohibited road blockades are free again. Two received a fine, thirteen others will hear later what happens with their case.
Twelve suspects were arrested for obstruction, meaning hindering the police in their work. One suspect was also arrested for vandalism, one for failing to show a valid ID, and one for assaulting an officer.
Two suspects received a fine. For the other suspects, the file is still being finalized, after which the Public Prosecution Service will make a decision regarding their case.
In addition to these suspects, around two hundred activists were arrested for violating the Public Manifestations Act. They have been released after their arrest and will not be prosecuted, as has also been the case with previous road blockades that did not happen.
