The police have arrested seven suspects for producing synthetic drugs. The men were brought before the examining magistrate on Friday, July 11, and will remain in custody for 14 more days.
The suspects emerged in a Hague police investigation into the production of synthetic drugs. Research has shown that the seven suspects were involved in a large drug lab on Insulindeweg in Middenbeemster. A large fire broke out there in the shed on June 19.
The suspects were arrested at various locations in the country. This involves a 56-year-old man and a 33-year-old man from The Hague. A 26-year-old man from Utrecht. A 24-year-old man and a 54-year-old man from Volendam. A 59-year-old man from De Meern and a 46-year-old man from Woerden.
