The Board of Procurators General received an urgent letter today on behalf of the Committee OM Under Pressure. The fact that 2,850 colleagues signed this letter is a very clear signal of how great the frustration is. In recent times, OM employees have been severely tested. The recent ICT breach and its aftermath add to problems that have been ongoing for a long time regarding ICT. The Board recognizes the concerns and frustrations shared. This topic has high priority and is on the agenda almost daily. At the same time, the Board sees and appreciates the efforts of all OM employees. Despite all limitations, most hearings have continued in recent months and the OM has continued to function. This is thanks to the hard work, flexibility, and perseverance of all OM staff.

The Board has invited the committee for a discussion in the short term. Additionally, the Board will provide a comprehensive response to the urgent letter in consultation with chief public prosecutors, as requested. Meanwhile, continuous work is being done to restore and improve the ICT infrastructure, with improvements being implemented step by step.

Last week, the Board also received a letter from the Dutch Association for the Judiciary. Read the response to that letter below.
