The Public Prosecution Service (OM) suspects a 55-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman from Woudenberg of sexually abusing minors. They are a couple. The abuse is said to have occurred while the care of the victims was entrusted to the suspects as babysitters. The suspects were arrested this year on January 15 and February 18 and have been in custody since.
Currently, the OM is aware of at least four victims. Additionally, there are strong indications that two other young children may also have been victims. The abuse is said to have taken place between 2018 and 2024.
The victims currently identified are all very young. The children come from two families. The victims from one family are the children of friends. The victims from the other family have a familial relationship. The OM and the police are investigating the case. Because the investigation is ongoing, the OM cannot rule out the possibility of other victims who have not yet come forward.
The OM has requested the court to have both suspects examined at the Pieter Baan Centre.
