The Public Prosecution Service (OM) on Wednesday demanded an 8-year prison sentence and TBS with compulsory treatment before the Rotterdam court for a 39-year-old man from Eindhoven. The man is on trial for sexually abusing his minor daughter and for years producing, possessing, and distributing child pornographic material.
In February 2025, the suspect came into focus through information from abroad at the Team Combating Child Pornography and Child Sex Tourism (TBKK) of the National Enforcement and Interventions Unit (LO). A presumed Dutch user was active on a dark web chat site where users frequently share images of sexual child abuse. The IP address of this user led the police to the man from Eindhoven.
Abuse of daughter
Police investigation led by the National Public Prosecutors Office shows that on March 3, 2025, the man shared on the chat site that he had a minor daughter with whom he was ‘active’. He told fellow users on the platform in detail what he did with her. The police did not hesitate and conducted an urgent search the next day at the mans home and his family. Investigators seized various data carriers for further investigation and arrested the man when he arrived at the home shortly after.
Photo series
On the seized devices, the police found 20 different photo series with dozens of photos per series of the suspects daughter, who was then aged 0-4 years. The man admitted that he also appeared in the images but claimed the photos had ‘medical reasons’ because the girl had physical complaints. However, the public prosecutor of the National Public Prosecutors Office did not believe this, as various series showed sexual acts.
“The abuse of his daughter did not just ‘happen’. He consciously did this to her. For years. Even when she was a small baby. He took photos so he could look at them later and also spread them online. Although the suspect downplays his behavior himself, this case drips with fulfilling his sexual desires in every possible way,” said the prosecutor.
Besides the photos of the sexual abuse of his daughter, the police also found many other child pornographic images on multiple devices of the man. These involved very young children aged 0-12 years, over a period of more than 20 years. In addition to the self-produced material of his daughter, the man also created child pornographic material using AI and distributed those images on the dark web.
Digital indecency
The file also shows that from 2019 until his arrest, he committed digital indecency with minors. The suspect had sexual chat conversations with at least three minor girls. In those conversations, he gave clear instructions about sexual acts they should perform. He also made recordings of those. The conversations also show that he knew the victims were under 16 years old.
The suspect has been diagnosed with a pedophilic disorder. The man himself indicates he wants help on a voluntary basis, but the prosecutor demands TBS with compulsory treatment alongside the prison sentence to protect society.
The court will give its verdict in two weeks.
