Liesbeth Schuijer New Chief Public Prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutors Office East Brabant

Mr. E.I. (Liesbeth) Schuijer will be appointed Chief Public Prosecutor of the East Brabant District Public Prosecutors Office as of February 1, 2026.

Mr. E.I. (Liesbeth) Schuijer will be appointed Chief Public Prosecutor of the East Brabant District Public Prosecutors Office as of February 1, 2026. She succeeds Heleen Rutgers, who has been Chief Public Prosecutor of the Central Netherlands District Public Prosecutors Office since October 20 of this year.

After completing her RAIO training, Liesbeth Schuijer started at the Public Prosecution Service in The Hague in 2002 as a public prosecutor. She then held leadership positions at various public prosecutors offices. Through the offices in The Hague, Dordrecht, Rotterdam, and the Functional Public Prosecutors Office in Den Bosch, she transitioned to the CVOM office. There she was appointed deputy chief public prosecutor in 2019. Since 2021, she has held the position of chief public prosecutor at the CVOM office.

The appointment was made according to the appointment procedure for top structure positions.
