The 37-year-old man arrested on suspicion of involvement in the death of a 52-year-old woman from Leiderdorp was presented today before the examining magistrate. His pre-trial detention has been extended by 14 days.
The victim was found dead on the evening of Saturday, January 10, in her home on Bolderikkamp in Leiderdorp. The suspect was arrested the same evening. The police are currently conducting extensive investigations into what happened in the house.
The suspect is under full restrictions. This causes the Public Prosecution Service to be cautious in sharing information.
